Dr. Dave Wurth always takes into account your personal preferences, health history, pain level, and ability to function in his plan for the acute or chronic care you need.
What’s It All About?
When Things Go Wrong
Stress, falls, accidents, disease, aging, or overexertion can decrease spine or other joint function and lead to pain and immobility. They can also severely limit your essential daily activities. When these events and accidents interrupt your life, your chiropractor is a great first option for acute and maintenance primary care, as your chiropractor can help you sustain overall health.
Does an Adjustment Hurt?
Some new patients wonder if an adjustment is painful. Most patients feel no pain, but some may experience a little discomfort, which is a normal part of the body’s return to better form and function. Dr. Dave always listens and considers a patient’s current pain level and overall pain threshold to personalize how much force he uses in adjustments.
What to Expect at Your Appointment
During your appointment, Dr. Dave will ask questions about your health history and conduct a relevant physical exam. He will conduct diagnostic and orthopedic tests and may order x-rays or an MRI as needed, if you haven’t already had those done.
From this information, the doctor will perform the indicated adjustments—safe, specific, and controlled forces on a joint—to help restore your body’s proper function and mobility. Because adjustments help the body regain its proper alignment and function, they also decrease pain for many patients. Dr. Dave also often instructs patients on exercises to support recovery.
