Early Career
Dr. David C. Wurth graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, in 1991. After graduation, for five years he worked closely with and was mentored by Dr. Randy David at the David Low Back Center. At that time, that chiropractic clinic was one of only two in the nation specifically dedicated to low back and leg pain. There Dr. Dave honed his patient adjustment, flexion/distraction, and strengthening skills, as the clinic team achieved a 98% success rate with patients.
Ongoing Education
Throughout his career, Dr. Dave has also deepened his practice abilities by learning from other skilled chiropractors. He attended courses led by Dr. Mitch Mally for treatment of carpal tunnel syndrome and others by Dr. Steven Weiniger for spinal core muscle strengthening exercises. Using Dr. Jim Cox’s techniques, Dr. Wurth honed his assessment, detection, treatment, and rehabilitation of low back pain thorugh chiropractic adjustments, Cox flexion/distraction, and core muscle strengthening exercises.
With these enhanced courses of training, Dr. Dave developed a special passion for treating two of the most common workplace injuries—low back pain and carpal tunnel syndrome.
Now Serving Patients in Champaign, IL
In 1997, he opened his first Iowa clinic in Sutherland and then expanded to Marcus in 2003. In 2020, Dr. Dave decided to build on his patient care success in Marcus by opening a new clinic in Illinois, the state where he first practiced.
The Champaign clinic, located at 210 W. Springfield Avenue, Suite 909, is an exciting opportunity to offer his experience and skills to Champaign-Urbana patients.
Dr. Wurth is a member of the Illinois Chiropractic Society and the Iowa Chiropractic Society.
